This is a very good question. Why??
Perhaps its because the USA still wants to show its the greatest nation in the world, not only in Europe, DESPITE what it costs.
Pull your troops out, Im sure we are quite able to manage without you.
Over here our government has made available approx $200 billion for starters, and yet only one bank has asked for funds. The problem is the strings are too strong to break, and the bosses dont want to loose their huge salaries and bonuses and the shareholders their dividends.
$200 billion, now thats a lot of cash, and for a country of only 9 million. How much would that be on the USAs population scale, just under $7 trillion.
Just think if these CEOs had arrived in their own cars, a long drive, but the scenery is nice.
And why do the people in the Senate and Congress go along with this greed, it is only because they consistantly receive back handers from the industries in question. Greed greed greed
