Silverado has reached the Sunrise Regional semifinals the past three years and nearly knocked off perennial power Las Vegas High in last year’s contest, a 12-7 setback.
The Skyhawks, who went undefeated in the regular season to capture the Southeast Division crown, return several key components from last year’s squad. Defensive lineman Keenan Graham, who has offers from Michigan, USC and other top schools, keyed a defense that only allowed 17.5 points per game.
Graham is joined by linebacker T.J. Alofipo, who committed to Hawaii this summer. Also, defensive back Michael Wadsworth is a top recruit, while junior linebacker Marcus Mata’u is an up-and-coming prospect.
Junior quarterback Trenton Tipton and cousin Teran Madau-Jules lead the offense.
