Liberty coach Lou Markouzis is confident his team has a chance to compete for its first-ever playoff berth this fall. Liberty, which opened in 2002, has only won three league games in five years, but Markouzis feels this season will be different.
“We really feel we are playoff bound,” the coach said. “We have had that goal in sight before, but now we have a new attitude.”
Plus, the Patriots have the personnel to break through. Led by senior linebackers Sage Nua and Carlos Tautoto, who combined to average 12.35 tackles per game last year. The Patriots have a senior-heavy roster that could be the difference.
