Legacy, in its third-year of existence, could surprise the traditional powers of the Northwest Division. The Longhorns closed last season with a pair of wins, including an upset of Shadow Ridge, and look to ride the momentum into 2008.
"I expect us to come out and compete with everybody," Legacy coach Dave Synder said. "Getting those wins the final two weeks of last season was definitely a confidence builder."
Legacy will be led by a trio of juniors: running back Deshae Edwards, linebacker Rodney Gilmore and tight end Billy Purcell.
