Faith Lutheran is guaranteed a spot in the playoffs in its last year in the 3A Southern League. With Pahrump Valley leaving 3A for 4A classification, the league’s remaining four teams automatically receive postseason berths.

Faith Lutheran will make the jump to the large-school classification next fall and plans to make the most out of its last hurrah in 3A.

“We always want to compete at the highest level, whether that be 3A or the 4A,” Faith Lutheran coach Jake Kothe said.

The Crusaders are led by quarterback David Sperry, who had five rushing and three receiving touchdowns last year splitting time at quarterback and wide receiver.
