Del Sol has played in the past two Sunrise Regional title games, and despite graduating three lineman who dominated the line of scrimmage in the Dragons' run-first attack, coach Preston Goroff anticipates his team will make another deep run in the postseason.

Maybe even deeper than the past two years when they fell to Las Vegas in the regional title game.

"We expect to be back in the thick of things again this year," Goroff said.

"The jury's still out on how the line will perform this year but we have some quality guys looking to step in at every position."

Alex Klorman, a starter last year, and Logan Nestor will anchor the line, while fullback Jon Kirschbaum might be the state's best. They'll block for four capable rushers in Kenny Lawrence, Earnest Hall, Jordan Molina and Derek Eamon, a Coronado transfer.
