Lottery wouldn’t be a threat to casinos

Heads up, Nevada politicians! I just returned from a business trip to South Carolina. I was impressed with its “state education lottery.”
I have lived in Las Vegas since 1958 and do not gamble. As a businessperson you cannot live here and gamble. However, I did indeed contribute a dollar to the South Carolina education lottery as my way of saying: I approve!
We could have the same here if it were not for the casino moguls who fear we would take from them. I do not patronize the casinos, but I would play the lottery if it were for a good cause (education).
Think of all the Nevada locals who go across the state line to California and Arizona to play the lottery.

Besides, if Casinos were allowed to run odds in their favor like the state gets in the lottery, the Casino execs would be imprisoned.
