Sun, Oct 5, 2008 (4:46 p.m.)
A 27-year-old Las Vegas man died Sunday after he lost control of his all-terrain vehicle and it landed on top of him, Metro Police said.
Two target shooters east of Interstate 15 near Sloan, about 30 miles south of Las Vegas, discovered the crash scene and called officers, police said.
The officers responded at about 10 a.m. with an emergency medical crew. Police said the ATV rider was thrown from the vehicle, then it struck him.
Paramedics pronounced the ATV rider dead at the scene, police said. The accident is still under investigation.
The Clark County coroner's office will identify the victim, police said.
