Man shot while trying to prevent car break-in
Thu, Nov 20, 2008 (11:38 a.m.)
A man was shot in the lower abdomen this morning after trying to prevent two men from stealing his vehicle at Desert Villa Apartments, near Jones and Lake Mead boulevards, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said.
While the victim stepped out on his balcony at 6 a.m. to smoke, he saw the men attempting to break into his vehicle, police said. He went down to confront them when he was shot. The suspects fled in a black, older model Chevrolet Cavalier with a third suspect in the vehicle, officers said.
The victim crawled back into his apartment and his wife called for emergency help. He was taken to UMC Trauma with non-threatening injuries.
Police were looking for the three suspects. One is a Hispanic, male adult of medium build and a bald head wearing dark colored clothing. The second is a white, male adult with a freshly shaved bald head and beard wearing dark clothing. The third is a white or Hispanic female.

Scumbags. That's why you take your pistol with you before confronting (and then shooting) the thieving bastards.
