flashpoint:
John Ensign singing to Harry Reid
Thu, Nov 20, 2008 (2 a.m.)
You can hear John Ensign singing to Harry Reid: “When you’re down and troubled, and you need a helping hand, and nothing, nothing is going right, close your eyes and think of me, and soon I will be there to brighten up even your darkest nights.” How else, but to give a James Taylor twist, to what Ensign told Roll Call today: “I have stated a million times, he supports the Democratic nominee against me, I support the Republican nominee against him. What we don’t do is we don’t say anything negative about each other ... I will campaign for his opponent, just like he’ll campaign for my opponent.” So, remember, Sen. Reid, in 2010, winter, spring, summer or fall, Sen. Ensign will be there for you. You’ve got a friend.

Carole King, not James Taylor, wrote those words.
Carole King is a song writing goddess. James has a nice voice.
