What a difference a decade makes

Oh what a difference a decade makes. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on the recount in the Minnesota Senate race: “As the Minnesota Canvassing Board rightfully recognized today, the race is too close to call and today’s canvass is just one step in a process to ensure every Minnesotan’s vote is counted. We look forward to hearing the results of the full recount ... so the Senate can seat a properly elected senator from Minnesota in time for the start of the 111th Congress.” Is this the same Harry Reid who was so skeptical of a recount in 1998, when he led by 400-plus votes over John Ensign, who, ironically, now isn’t so thrilled about a recount because Al Franken is behind and his guy, Norm Coleman, is leading? All politics are local.
