LETTER TO THE EDITOR:
Maybe Democrats picked wrong man
Sat, Aug 30, 2008 (2:02 a.m.)
Are the Democrats who attended their party’s national convention in Denver feeling buyer’s remorse? Maybe Sen. Joe Biden would have made a better candidate for president.
Barack Obama’s pick for vice president is chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and has more than three decades’ experience in the U.S. Senate. Obama has been a senator for less than four years.
No matter. A wise political commentator said you can’t gain experience by depending on someone else’s experience. And anyway, they say people don’t vote for the vice president.

I beleive Jane is absolutely correct...Barrack Obama is not the winner we are led to believe. I believe he will be the likes of another George McGovern...a loser for Democrats.
I have always believed Joe Bidden would have been the best candidate of the entire slate running for President on the Dem's side.
I personally dislike Obama, don't tust him and don't think he will be a good leader in any way shape or form. He may very well be the next Jimmy Carter, only worse, if elected.
I think John McCain will win hands down. Let the Republicans have the White House. He will be the next "Herbert Hoover" for the Last Great Depression this country will sooon experience. We will need a very strong Democratic Congress controlling both houses to stop his plans to privatize Social Security, Medicare, open Yucca Mtn and to expand militarism in this country. The Congress can stop him quite unlike the November Election.
Democratic Congress controlling both houses to stop his plans ....open Yucca Mtn ...."
LOL.....they control both houses now.
How come they have not stop Yucca now?
In fact, the Democratic sub-committee voted to fully fund it last month.
The BS gets real thick sometimes.
