Champion show horse dies in South Point ring

A two-time national champion show horse collapsed and died at the South Point Equestrian Center tonight. The Pure Spanish Horse Ravel died of a cardiac incident similar to a heart attack, according to veterinarians who performed examinations at the scene. The incident occurred during a benefit to support the Foundation for the Pure Spanish Horse Rescue Program. The arena was cleared after Ravel collapsed. “He appeared to be in perfect ...
